Tips from locals
Select waterfront paths, or light hiking trails. We especially enjoy the rose garden and dahlia garden areas in the summertime.
Connects with Dune Peninsula and has a wonderful 5 mile loop that you can walk or bike. As with any park, they close at dusk and it is always best to go with a friend.
This is a must visit in my opinion. Just a short drive into Tacoma, you can hike or drive through the park and it feels like you are in a lush rainforest. You can visit the rose garden and walk through an arguably top picture place. You can even hit the zoo. All of it is in one spot and super close to the waterfront.
Scenic park offering more than 700 acres of woodland trails, gardens and waterfront views, along with a zoo and aquarium.
