Beautiful wharf with replica tall ship, custom house and other historical buildings.
This waterfront park was the center of Salem's trade. If you walk to the lighthouse and back, it is about a mile. Visit the Friendship, check out the Derby Mansion and the Custom House across the street, and stop into the Park Ranger center to see if they are offering any tours. If you have a pet, perhaps he/she can become a bark ranger!
This National Park preserves one of America’s most influential ports. Historic buildings, wharves, and the vessel Friendship describe the traders and sailors who brought the riches of the Far East to
Part of the National Park Service. Learn about Salem's place in maritime history as you walk the wharf past the Friendship (tall ship) out to the lighthouse.
The Salem Maritime National Historic Site is a National Historic Site consisting of 12 historic structures, one replica tall-ship, and about 9 acres of land along the waterfront of Salem Harbor in Salem, Massachusetts.
