About 1 hour away, south towards Ponce. An amazing hike either in or out of the water. Absolutely beautiful with the white rocks against the backdrop of lush, green vegetation and typical bright blue skies! Many opportunities for great photos! Parking is minimal, but free and is just on the side of the road, but a short walk to the cañon. Also, pay attention to the weather. If it is raining nearby, the water does move swiftly and it could be dangerous to get washed down the river. Otherwise, choose a nice day and you will have a beautiful experience!

A slice of Heaven Meets History! The views here are out of this world. This is a must see in the area. As you navigate through the river you can see spots with Taino ancient carvings. Simply breathtaking! ***Please be super careful to watch for flash floods.***

You'll find this hidden gem after a 30 min rural drive from La Casita Deseada. The Caonillas river has carved this white pebbly, shallow canon named Canon Blanco, one of the area’s must-see locations. After a short hiking around the bushes, an open space of beautiful and refreshing scenery will reveal to you. Don’t miss the ancient petroglyphs carved in some of the canon rock walls. Always be cautious in a body of water. Note there is limited parking space in the area so go early and take traction footwear with you.
