Only a few meters from the "Lenbachhaus" you will find the Palaeontological Museum of Munich. A free and publicly accessible part of the Bavarian State Collection for Paleontology and Geology in the Kunstareal Munich. Embark on a journey to prehistoric times and see the remains of long-extinct animals. The skeletons of a Plateosaurus, the largest Bavarian dinosaur the Mühlendorf Urelefant or the skull of a three-horned dinosaur are quite impressive. So is the skeleton of a giant deer and a fish dinosaur. Open Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm and Friday 8am - 2pm Admission is free
