Well worth a trip! As if the museum itself wasn't enough, the museum's gardens, simply known by locals as 'museum gardens' is very pretty. With St. Mary's Abbey, a ruined Benedictine Abbey as a back drop, you will amaze your friends with some pretty fanatastic photographs!

The Yorkshire Museum sits in the heart of York Museum Gardens, in the centre of York. The museum was opened in 1830 by the Yorkshire Philosophical Society and was one of the first purpose-built museums in the country.
