About this place
LOUISIANA Museum of Modern Art is located 35 km north of Copenhagen with a panoramic view across the Øresund. The interaction between world class art, nature and architecture is unique, and Louisiana is often hailed as “probably the most beautiful museum in the world”.

Great museum, always worth a visit. Maybe go when they open up, it’s very well visited. It’s a daytrip. You can go by car or by train. You can enjoy your lunch there and be tempted in the shop as well

This museum is my favorite museum. The building, the art of course but also the great nature that surrounds it. Check it out on Instagram.

My favorite museum, outside the city. Go there by train and have a day-trip up north. There is a beautiful view and interesting exhibitions. Food can be expensive, so consider brunching your own and enjoy it with a view of the sea.

Bring your swimwear and take a dip in Oeresund while you are there. And do not miss the restaurant. It is fairly cheap and the view is fantastic.

Louisiana is much more than a museum, is a place to relax looking at beautiful art and landscapes, or share a creative workshop with the children, or sit at a cosy cafe looking towards the coast of Sweden, shop for books or for lovely Danish design.

Beautiful and wonderfully family-friendly art museum outside of Copenhagen. There is a dedicated 3-storey Children's Wing with daily workshops suitable for children ages 4-16, where they can paint, draw, and sculpt. See website for more info on times and prices for workshops.
