Established in 1962, the purpose of Hong Kong Museum of Art is to preserve the cultural heritage of China with a local focus. Hong Kong Museum of Art features more than 15000 different objects of ancient Chinese art from Han to Qing Dynasty. The fine collections include various fields of arts such as calligraphy, paintings, ceramics and art works and play an important role on preserving the cultural heritage not only of China, but also of local artists.
