It was built by Roman Emperor - Valens in the 4th century A.D. It supplied water to the city for 1,500 years. Water was transported to the Byzantine palaces, city cisterns, and then to Topkapi Palace.

A quick walk down the park toward the Golden Horn and you will come across the ancient Valens viaducts. Built in the 4th century AD! This is a marvel of engineering. An important landmark worth seeing
