This black sand beach is a local favorite because of the wider beach, gentle waves for surfing and less restrictions than in the National Park.

The black volcanic sand itself is beautiful, but the vegetation and ocean make it perfect. Great for walking your pup too. There is a little “gym area” with make-shift swings you can enjoy. Reggae bar is right across the road, you can’t miss it. At the end of the beach there is a little jungle trail that leads to coral and the ocean you can explore, just beware for snakes and such. Usually not as busy as The National Park. The best part is that it is a 3 min walk to the beach from The Hideout.
