There is no reason why you cannot do a couple of hours on this track either and have a picnic.

See spectacular mountain scenery, forest and alpine vegetation, glacier-fed rivers and the Dart Glacier on the Rees-Dart Track. 3 - 5 days covering 55 km and more if you choose to do a variety of side trips. Reaching 1471 m on the Rees Saddle, or if choosing side trip to Cascade Saddle, 1524 m. ALWAYS CHECK WITH DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION BEFORE LEAVING.
