A wonderful pub within walking distance (a good walk though) by a Ford. Good food and drink.

Walk from lodge (about 35 mins) & dog friendly. Great food & choice of drinks. To start walk, head towards security gate & take public footpath at the 2 storey lodge. Can get muddy

The Splash is known locally as the pub with the ford! The river runs straight past the pub and kids love a little paddle whilst waiting for their delicious lunch to arrive. The food here is very good with generous portions at a very reasonable price.
