The lite up cranes in the old ship yard can be appreciated at night by walking along the marina area of Pula. Costs nothing but a little time.

Lighting Giants are illuminated cranes of Uljanik Shipyard in Pula, Croatia which is the city’s attraction and symbol. The idea of illuminating cranes of shipyard was born in the context of Visualia Festival in Pula – the festival of light, presents the magic and beauty of new technologies and audiovisual art. Visualia was held for the first time in 2013, with 3D mapping, and its program has been increasing every year. The creator of project called Lighting Giants was architectural lighting designer Dean Skira from Pula, who lighted up the cranes at Uljanik Shipyard with LED spotlights. They are all visible from the app window, or you can sit on the waterfront and watch them change colour.
