This is a great place to go for a wee walk, you have 2 paths to choose from, the lower less steep walk or the top, narrower drovers path. Either way it is a stunning walk, with a great view of the ruined village at the end. The parking space for the walk is in the forest and is listed as a Dark Sky point.

This is my favourite place (sshhh, don't tell everyone!). It's a circular walk on a fairly easy path with great views and at the end of the trail are the ruins of an abandoned village. It's never very busy (unlike the Fairy Pools and Old Man of Storr). It's often sheltered here and misses the worst of the weather. Turn right out of the driveway and after 0.5 miles or 1km turn left. After 5 miles you'll see the sign on the left. Take the track and there is a car park at the end. Park here, walk and enjoy the experience. Allow 2 hours. (I don't know why the address on the marker shows as East Kilbride, it's not! DO NOT use this post code, it is incorrect).

Take the forestry commission track next to Kinloch Lodge and you will find a lovely walk (or cycle) with stunning views back to Eilean Sionnach.

This is a lovely circular 1& 1/2 - 2 hour woodland walk on Skye's Sleat peninsula. The walk is much loved by locals with magnificent views across the Sound of Sleat to Isle Ornsay, and to Knoydart on the mainland. The walk leads you to the abandoned crofting township, Leitir Fura, one of Scotland's best butterfly sites. Good car parking. Suitable for families. Visit www.walkhighlands.co.uk or www.theskyeguide, for more information. It is signed off the A851, almost opposite the Drumfearn turn off, four miles south of Broadford.
