Why locals recommend it

For competitive cyclists, this is the place for interval training. It’s equipped with a paved, continuous 3.8-km loop with minimal distractions. Because it’s super close to the city, it’s easy to visit before and after business commitments in the CBD, and there are plenty of spots for a family picnic post-ride. Cyclists have right of way, but be aware of the 30 km per hour speed limit.

Rent a bike and go for a ride around Centennial Park. It's about 4 km all the way around. There's a cafe and kiosk in the middle of the Park. There's also some lovely picnic spots.
