The Kaiservilla is the one-time summer residence of the Emperor of Austria, with beautiful grounds, and should not be missed!

The spa town of Bad Ischl achieved fame as the summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary. The imperial imperial villa with a 20 hectare garden and the Marmorschlössl testify to the love of the imperial couple for the Salzkammergut and each other, the emperor also asked for Sisi's hand in 1853 while staying here.

The summer residence of Kaiser Franz Josef for over 70 years and described by him as “heaven on earth” for him and his family. It was here that Franz Josef signed the declaration of was against Serbia in 1914 that was to escalate into a world war. The villa has large park grounds and gardens which house the photography museum.

This is where Kaiser Franz-Josef stayed during the summer. It is a royal palace but on a much more informal scale, only room for his immediate family the Court had to find somewhere else to stay. It was here the kaiser signed the document which precipitaed World War 1.
