A historic landmark that commemorates Lynchburg citizens who fought and died in wars spanning from the Civil War to present day. There are sculptures and markers lining the 139 steps and terraces all the way to the top. The view from the monument is beautiful in all 4 seasons.

A cascading staircase that honors America's fallen heroes at each landing. Great exercise & views at the top.

A short walk down 9th street leads you to this historic staircase with many pretty views of the beautiful architecture downtown, as war memorials, benches, and walking paths that connect to the river walk.
