Tips from locals
The sister property to Evergreen Lodge is just 5 munites before the Yosemite Park Gate on Highway 120.
Great bar and restaurant to eat at on your way back from Yosemite. Cool gift shop as well.
Rush Creek is a great place to stop for a quick bite before or after your Yosemite visit. It's right off Highway 120 a few miles from the entrance to Yosemite National Park.
You'll find this place just before you arrive at the entrance to Yosemite on the south side of Hwy 120. My favorite thing to do after a day of hiking is to stop here for an ice cream cone! Plus the surroundings are beautiful.

“For a nice drink at the end of a fun day, head to the Mountain Room Bar (there's an awesome fireplace for chilly winter evenings) to spot climbers and other local heros. And for a great dinner, the Mountain Room is a local favorite. The prices range from about $20-35 per plate. ”

“Dinner and a cold beverage on their patio/deck offers nearly as good a view as what you get here at Manzanita Lookout Lodge... almost. It's a great, fast, casual place to end a day in the Yosemite high country or touring the Valley. Don't let the bad picture that AirB&B automatically posts of the Station fool you. It's cool. You'll like it.”
