Praia Grande is the stage for a Surf World Chapionship. It is also the scenario of the beautiful Wim Wenders movie from 1982, “The State of Things”. The beach has several cafes and Restaurants along the seaside, providing a good support to spend a good day there.

This is simply one of the best beaches in Portugal. Good for bodyboarding and surfing. There is even an International Bodybord contest every year in August.

A place with a rich geological heritage that deserves to be disclosed. In geological formations of the cliffs this beach are printed dinosaur footprints grouped into tracks. A great and unique beach.
