An experience for everyone but it has gotten pretty crazy as of late. If you know how to boat you can rent a pontoon boat or they have boats that ferry you out there now. It's a fun sandbar right by the Destin Bridge. They have bars, food, and concerts now. Be sure to check the weather and water conditions if you go.

Rent a boat and explore by water - Choctawhatchee Bay, including Crab Island, and into the Gulf of Mexico up to 9 miles out. Pontoons can go to the Crab Island area and in the bay.
