O Palácio Nacional da Ajuda , a national monument since 1910, is not only the former royal dwelling and decorative arts museum, it is also the seat of other Portuguese institutions linked to culture and stage of protocol ceremonies.
This is my favorite palace and it´s definetly worth a visit! You can figure out how Royal Family lived as it´s exactly the same (furniture) as when the monarchy!
lthough this palace was never completed as planned due to the exile of the royal family in Brazil caused by the French invasion of Portugal, it is still one of Europe's most perfect romantic buildings
