This is one of the weirdest places in Nashville. A full size replica of the Greek Parthenon. Take a picnic and have a gander. Better yet, pickup a BBQ lunch at Edley's on 12 South and enjoy the park and the Parthenon.

Located in Centennial Park in West End, The Parthenon is full-scale replica of the original in Athens. It was built in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Centennial Park is great for a walk around the lake, throwing a frisbee and picnics.

This is why Nashville is called "the Athens of the South".
