Sprawling beach with incredible views and wide open spaces.

Locust Beach is my favorite beach in Bellingham. It is the largest and least disturbed as far as the natural setting, lots to explore! (It has a long set of stairs with no handrail, use caution) The water is shallow and when the tide is out you can walk pretty far out into the bay. You will find windsurfers here on a windy day. Fun to watch! I love coming at sunset and watching the herons :)

This is a favorite hangout spot for locals. It has a long staircase down to the beach but once you get down their are trees to hang a hammock and fire pits for camp fires. During low tie you can walk way out on the sandy beach. Kid's particularly enjoy the tide pools.

Beautiful sunset destination. Feels secret and secluded. Highly romantic. Bikeable.
