Historic square in the center of Athens, one of the most recognizable against the backdrop of the Acropolis. It attracts a lot of people and is one of the squares where tourists gather because of its location and its goddess to the rock of the Acropolis. There is a metro station in Monastiraki. Beware of pickpockets!
