Has an impressive history. In the seventeenth century, right on its site was a military cemetery that was closed in 1770. One hundred years later, the city's military commander, General Anton Scudier, ordered the remains to be moved to the Cemetery. Heroes (in the Lipovei Road) and in its place to be a promenade place as soon as possible. The new green space took over the general's name and, after his death, a statue was erected there. In the First World War the statue was destroyed, and at present the Central Park houses a monument of heroes, several statues of important personalities from Banat history and numerous artesian fountains.

Reprezintă parcul central al orașului. Aici puteți observa monumentul dedicat militarilor români și statui cu diferite personalități (cercetători, foști primari etc.) care și-au pus amprenta asupra orașului.
