Located at the top of the trail from Oheo Gulch, the trail through the timber bamboo forest is iconic...green light, fresh water fragrance and the tympani of bamboo culms tapping together above. Hikers are prohibited from entering the water and standing beneath the 400' bridal vail waterfall with VERY refreshing water from Haleakala above, which means that skinny dipping while doing it isn't an additional infraction. Jus sayin' Hehehe. In all seriousness, although the experience is a breathtaking jewel of life, all those rocks did fall from above, so.....be careful.

This 400 ft waterfall is a MUST DO! A four mile hike through thick bamboo forest leads you to this spectacular waterfall. A lot of folks shower under the waterfall. DON'T FORGET INSECT REPELLANT!

Best Hike Ever! Take the back way, don't drive through Hana. It's much quicker and less curvy.

Great , moderate 2 mile hike thru bamboo forest to a beautiful waterfall. Great place to have a little packed lunch after a hike. You must be a little tough, willing to drive to Hana and get a little muddy
