Just up Bayshore Rd is the Cox Creek Wildlife Management Area. You can wonder around and bird watch or bring a fishing rod and and fish the stocked pond. The pond’s gamefish include largemouth bass, channel catfish and stocked trout. Bluegills and crappies comprise the panfish roster. The forage base is primarily bluegills, this eatery no doubt augmented by the emptying of bait buckets that contained minnows (killies).

Terrific place to bike to, drive to and walk the dog, fish in the stocked lake, or just take a nature walk. FREE

An old golf course that nature is reclaiming. Nice trails for walking and enjoying local birds and wildlife.

A personal favorite for walking and biking. Great location for birding and fishing in the stocked pond. You may see our resident bald eagle! And it's only 2 miles from Bay Haven!
