MAR Shopping opened on October 16, 2008 and is the largest IKEA Group Shopping Center in Europe. It is located in an area of great confluence of road accesses and with an area of influence of 2.8 million people. There are 210 stores distributed over more than 100.000m2 of gross lettable area, of which 36,600m2 belong to the IKEA Matosinhos Store, inaugurated in July 2007.
