This local destination began in 1975 and was restored in 2006 as a wildlife preserve and garden between Kingstree Blvd and Inca Drive Sonoran Desert plants are identified along a half-mile trail on the desert slopes with an elevation from 1696 to 1800 feet. The trail features an abandoned P-Bar Ranch campsite next to the 1941 constructed dam wall.

Easy hike through a Fountain Hills neighborhood with native plants.

Not like most botanical gardens but fascinating; very canyon like setting. Have to be careful in the trail itself. Very rocky but good photo ops is you can get the sun in the right place.
