A very special place. Cuddle a koala, hand feed and pet kangaroos and wallabies. Lots of other Aussie birds, reptiles and animals to see. Lovely 1/2 day or full day out. Catch the ferry or bus.

For the first timers in Australia. The kangaroos and koalas are calling your name. They are just very special creatures of Oz. Other animals abound in this lovely Sanctuary in Fig Tree Pocket nearby.

Only 12km from Brisbane City, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is the world’s first and largest koala sanctuary with 130 koalas. Hold a koala, hand feed kangaroos and meet a large variety of Australian wildlife in beautiful, natural settings. OPEN every day, 9am-5pm.

It's a lovely day out to see some of Australia's most famous wildlife- koalas, snakes, kangaroos, wombats, platypus, tasmanian devils, dingos, echidnas, freshwater crocodiles, Cassowary, rainbow lorrikeets, freshwater turtles, owls, eagles bats, kookaburras, sheep/farm animals and many beautiful australian birds and reptiles. You can get up close and personal with quite a few of these beautiful australian native animals and can even hold reptiles, have your picture taken with koalas and feed kangaroos. It's a must do experience for anyone visiting Australia and at the end you can purchase souvenirs of your favorite animals in the souvenir shop.
