This is a truly a unique park! Bring your hammer and head into the boulder field (sneakers are important) This is a 128 acre park filled with boulders which, when struck by a hammer or another rock produces a ringing tone! There is also a picnic ares, hiking and and explanation of this unique park.

Amazing field of rocks that ring like bells when struck with a hammer (must bring your own hammer or mallet)

Famous for its rocks that ring, this large boulder field is a relic from the Ice Age. The rocks, not indigenous to the area, were deposited here in Upper Black Eddy some 15,000 years ago. Ask to borrow a hammer so you can hear the rocks chime. Also great walking trails to the creek & water falls.
