You will taste the perfect Cuban coffee, experience smoking a cigar like a native cuban, and learn the Cuban cigar ritual—from the old way of lighting it to the proper way to smoke it and make a wish at the Sacred CEIBA Tree. Your 1.5+ hour interactive nature experience with the bees begins with a multimedia overview of the life of a bee. You’ll see a hive and learn how to hold a frame (without squishing the bees -they don’t like that). We’ll get suited up. Light a smoker. Do a safety check, and approach the hive. At the hive you’ll see and feel the power of propolis (a supplement for humans as well) -- its the glue bees use to seal up the hive. We’ll lift the lid and go inside. For some, that’s might be as far as they want to go. But, if you’re adventurous, we will do a complete hive inspection: Pull frames to see how the bees create honey and keep the colony alive. You’ll see open “wet cells” of nectar that are still in the process of transforming into honey. You’ll see capped honey, tiny freshly laid eggs and all the stages of bee development ( larvae, caped brood, and newly emerging “baby bees”). I’ll show you how beekeepers help control pests (other insects and diseases) and keep the bees healthy so they can do their important work. You’ll hold frames of bees and feel the weight of a full frame of honey when compared to a frame of bees. There’s always time for selfies. You’ll sample honey & enjoy a cold beverage sweetened with honey. This is Ecco tourism with some of mother nature’s most important workers.

Whether you are looking to start your own backyard hive or just have a fascination with honeybees and want to learn more, this workshop is designed to provide an introduction to the craft of beekeeping. Looking for something fun, different, yet also educational? You have come to the right place. You will be fascinated to learn how much more bees are responsible for. Your session will begin with a short introduction to the bees. Afterwards, you will put on protective gear and go inside the Apiary with one of our Beekeepers. You will hold frames of bees, search for the Queen, and learn how to inspect a hive, among other activities. This is the perfect time to take a photo of your experience, so be sure to bring a camera! Enjoy the serenity and beauty of the surrounding landscape. Visit our farm venture into an apiary, and finish up with some raw, local honey. Other things to note You must be certain that you are not allergic to bees. You will have to sign a liability release form.

Paint/ Photoshoot;an introduction to the Artist, a brief history of murals, importance of public art, examples of works in Miami. (No Artistic talent is necessary.) -Introduction to materials, brushes, spray paint, rollers, drop cloths, latex paint, tape and palettes. -Then an explanation of the process and meaning of 'underpainting" as the first step of creating a community mural. A community mural involves groups of people creating together, I will show you the tasks and different sections of the mural. Each participant will be encouraged and given instruction on all facets of the mural. A group photo and progress shots will be taken during the mural process. -How to create a wash, painting with water to make the next stage after underpainting possible is my signature style. -Using different brushes to make different lines as well as the "dry brush" technique for shading on some realistic images will be explored by all in attendance. Then the best way for everyone to enjoy their time is to learn by doing! Set up and introduction is 15 minutes, The actual painting is one hour and the post/photoshoot is 15 minutes. The Final stage of details and photoshoot with your work to always remember the experience. Creating a permanent mural in the mural capital of the world "Wynwood" on a highly visible intersection will culminate in a group unveiling as we say "Artworld!!!! There are so many benefits of this product. It’s package free, made with no water, easy to travel with and can be used for body, face or hair. In your class, we will formulate a Lotion Bar for your particular needs. Maybe it’s a moisturizing bar to be used after the bath or shower. Create a travel friendly facial moisturizer. Or maybe you’d like to create a beard balm. The options are limitless! Learn about butters, oils, and essential oils. Choose the combination of ingredients that work for your personalized formula. Together we will create a one of a kind work of abstract art for you to take home. No prior experience is required; just a willingness to connect with your artistic side and an open mind. All skill levels and comfort levels welcome! First, I will welcome you into my tropical Miami backyard oasis where we will sit under the avocado tree and eat authentic Cuban pastries from a nearby hole in the wall while I share information about the history of the area. Then we will talk a bit about the history of abstract art and how we can connect with it ourselves.
