A Beautiful Market Town Home in the Lakes

This home is a newly renovated mid terrace cottage with a warm scandi vibe. The property is in the heart of Ulverston town just a stones throw away from pubs and restaurants but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Enter the house into an open plan dining room and lounge, complimented by a lovely log burner. The kitchen then follows with access to the back of the house, which has a very small yard and cupboard that can be used for safe bike storage. Upstairs you will find two similar sized rooms with a king and double bed in the first and second room. The third room has a single bed and office space but is big enough for an additional cot/travel cot and the spacious bathroom is located at the end of the landing. The house will allow for one lovely four legged friend as long as they’re well behaved. Contact me for further requests. A range of treats for both humans and pooches will be presented to you on arrival at the house to help you enjoy your stay that little bit more. Please note that restaurants and pubs will get booked up quickly, so to avoid disappointed make sure you book in advance. Parking is either on street for 1 hour to unload the car and then there are a number of local secure car parks for as little as £1 for 24 hours (Stockbridge Lane Car Park) which is only a few minutes walk from the house.

Gorgeous home, private parking and stunning views

Bay View Cottage is a fabulous ENTIRE Ulverston home extremely well suited for a romantic escape for two people or for working in the area, or working at home, great WiFi. Very peaceful here no road noise lots of bird song, cosy up and enjoy the panoramic view. Very close to town centre it has own entrance with a key safe, so arrival time can be totally flexible, and there is private parking. We use a Professional cleaning service to ensure the place sparkles. Much better than a hotel room!

Our charming one bedroom cottage is located in Ulverston, South Lakes. The cottage itself has been recently renovated with brand new kitchen & bathroom featuring a waterfall shower! Located a short stroll from the centre of the busy market town you are close to a range of great independent pubs, restaurants and shops. With local bus and train services close by it makes a perfect base to explore the Lakes and surrounding areas.

Our home is close to both the Lakes and the sea, situated in the centre of the vibrant market town of Ulverston which is packed with a good variety of restaurants and non chain bars. The cottage was built in 1890 and is located in the heart of the town. The house has good kitchen stocked with all the basics, from herbs, condiments and even the odd tin of baked beans, so if you fancy cooking, you can!. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, friends and business travellers.

The Old Bakehouse

I throughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Bakehouse. It is such a beautiful place and very handy location for exploring the lakes. The flat is very well appointed and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and so handy to have things like salt and vinegar available. We didn’t manage to get out in the evening as we were travelling with our young children but we saw plenty of restaurants and pubs just around the corner. The beds were so comfortable and the linens were of high quality. The flat is tucked away behind other buildings but we were provided with clear instructions with how to get in and the best places to park. Local parking cost us less than £3 for our two night stay and was just a few minutes walk away. We have struggled getting parked in the central lakes in the past so we were so pleased with how much easier it was to stay in Ulverston. This is an excellent, peaceful place and we would love to stay again. Many thanks to Jason for being a great host.

The house was absolutely perfect and matched the description. It was really well fitted out, freshly decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen was a lovely social space and it was well kitted out if you wanted to cook. Upstairs there was a comfortable sitting room which enabled us to spread out. We enjoyed playing the supplied boardgames and there are lots of tvs if you want them. The rooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms modern and spotless. The house is really well located, close to lots of pubs and restaurants and you can walk to the park and the John Barrow Monument. We made use of Ulverston's fantastic leisure centre which had pickleball, table tennis and badminton- tricky app but great facility. Karen is a very responsive host and the access information was really clear. You can't park outside but there are nearby safe locations to leave your car. All in all a great experience which I would highly recommend.
