Stone House - Joy River Backpackers

The Stone House is self-catering and contains, in the main bedroom, one double and one 3/4 bed with an en-suite bathroom, flush toilet, bath and shower. The lounge, with a fireplace, contains a single bed and couch. Bedding is provided and mosquito nets. Joy River Backpackers is situated at the very beginning of the Blyde River Canyon. A genuine African village experience, rustic & laid-back atmosphere prevails and the buildings blend serenely into that of the village. The water is potable.

Eden Rain

The house is centrally located and is within easy walking distance to the main attractions. It has its own fenced off garden and is situated in a small estate with 3 other houses. There's a solar system which keeps lights, wifi and the fridge on during loadshedding! The main living area is spacious and has a beautiful sunroom for lounging around. Each bedroom can be arranged into either double or single beds which is ideal for any group booking and there is a pizza oven available as well.

Black Eagle Lake House offers a truly relaxing escape in the bush. It is the perfect choice for nature-loving families or groups visiting this beautiful part of Mpumalanga. Located between Hazyview and White River, only three and a half hours drive from Johannesburg. Near by attractions include the world famous Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon and so much more. This old favorite, offers panoramic views, tranquility, and privacy. It boasts a fenced garden and spacious stoep for braais and sundowners. Adventure seekers can hike the mountain for a breathtaking vista. IMPORTANT: Regrettably, the Stone Cottage lacks electricity due to transformer damage from a recent storm. The repair timeframe is unknown, but we have a generator on hand for your convenience. We apologize for this inconvenience and assure you that we're pursuing alternatives.

Tucked away in lush indigenous woodland, a delightful and roomy cottage is located in the charming village of Kampersrus, situated on the eastern slopes of the stunning Blyde River Canyon. "My Side of the Mountain" is an ideal getaway for nature lovers, as mongoose, bushbabies, and antelope frequently wander through the area. A diverse array of birds also inhabits the surroundings, their constant songs creating a beautiful backdrop to the natural environment.

Royal Wulff’s king bed and tidy sitting area are warmed each evening by an indoor fireplace, while the patio opens right onto the African bush and the dam’s distinct ecosystem.
