What a spot!! absolute beachfront, high up on the hill overlooking the beach. We booked for our wedding night, but hosts were flexible with an early check in so the bridal party could get ready. Don't book if you don't like listening to the roar of the ocean when it's windy, but if you find it soothing like us, then it's perfect! Nice stairs down to the sand, perfect for a walk, and a nice deck area. The undercover area with fire is so nice for that bad weather but wanting a cosy spot to relax. I have zero complaints, place was spotless, nicely laid out and great parking. We are local to the Pukehina area, but if we ever need to book somewhere there again, this will be first on this list! Thank you Merilyn for your amazing communication and flexibility. We really appreciate it and your cosy place.

Colin的房子非常的漂亮，后院的绣球花开得很好，院子足够停2-3辆车的空间，位置很安静，强烈推荐大家来住！首先他非常热情，我们虽然没见到Colin，但是有问题他能够及时回复，感谢他给的私密性。进门时看到厨房放的新鲜水果和果汁，冰箱里还给准备了新鲜的牛奶，孩子们和老人们都太开心了，特别适合中国家庭做饭。其次用品很齐全，还配有儿童的书本和游戏棋。最后退房当天由于大雨，Colin还让我们延迟退了房。是个非常好的房东了。 Colin's house is absolutely beautiful, with hydrangeas blooming splendidly in the backyard. The yard has enough space to park 2-3 cars, and the location is very quiet. I highly recommend staying here! First of all, Colin is extremely hospitable. Although we didn’t meet him in person, he responded promptly to any questions we had. We really appreciated the privacy he provided. Upon entering, we noticed fresh fruits and juice in the kitchen, as well as fresh milk in the fridge—both the kids and the elderly were thrilled! The house is especially suitable for Chinese families who love cooking.Secondly, the amenities are very well-equipped, including children’s books and board games. Finally, on the day of checkout, due to heavy rain, Colin kindly allowed us to delay our departure.

Delwyn and Sara were quick to respond to any communication. They obviously understood families as they supplied extra linen and towels. We appreciated being able to have our family dogs with us, and they had a great time too. We appreciated the offer of a late check out to enjoy the sunshine after an otherwise very wet and blustery stay.

Paul's haven is a quiet and quaint little cottage. One is welcomed by the local bunny and kitty both of whom were big hits with my preschooler. The house is a cozy 20's style with a homely feel. The home is clean and generously appointed and the master bedroom has a beautiful mural! We slept well and just lived spending time there and enjoyed a couple of slow mornings. Paul graciously allowed us early check-in and late check-out which were greatly appreciated. Many thanks

This place exceeded my expectations. I wanted a relaxing few days away and this beautiful tiny home provided that. Sue was flexible with early check in and even opened the place up for us before we arrived. The location is quiet with a view of the sea and White Island from the deck. The little touches like milk in the fridge and a few Easter eggs made it homely. The place was immaculate and I can see that they love and care for their place. The deck got plenty of use hanging out there in the sun and star gazing at night and it was a bonus just having the sea a few meters from the house to go for a swim. We didn’t use the fire pit but that added to the homely feel. It was very easy to relax there. It was hard to leave and go back to reality. I would recommend this place to others and would definitely love to stay there again.

Thank you Nathan for one of the best stays we have experienced in over 10 years of being in New Zealand. This location was super good and Nathan is an extremely responsive and kind host. We had to book and check in on the same day due to our previous accomodation being very dirty. Nathan’s great hospitality and willingness to make sure our stay at his property rescued what was otherwise a bleak weekend for us. Instead, we had the most fun weekend off in our many trips around New Zealand. While the location is a little further from Rotorua Central, everything else makes up for it. We had a clean and comfortable stay and all the extra amenities and hospitality really made us feel extremely cosy and comfortable. A big thank you to one of the best hosts I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this property!
