This stylish apartment in the valley of Paul overlooks a green oasis with banana plants, mango- and breadfruit trees. It's within walking distance of Vila das Pombas which means you have easy access to restaurants and shops. Our house, Kasa d' Vizin, which means 'the neighbour's house', in Creole, is located in a little village overlooking the mountains and ocean. What a wonderful place to stay with such immaculate views! They were extremely communicative and happy to help with all questions related to the island and beyond. I would not hesitate to stay again when in the area. It is the perfect location down from the cove crater hike.

We stayed at one of the top floor rooms next to the swimming pool and terrace which was great. The room had a bathtub in the middle, a sofa, double bed, fridge, mobile A/C, separate shower and toilet with glass doors. We used the shared kitchen to make some coffee in the morning. It felt like a boutique hotel with all the beautiful little details. They even fixed a baby bed for our son. Very friendly and welcoming people. They work hard to give an excellent service. We walked to the ferry and all around town. Eva organized our transfer from the airport, all done well.

Osvaldo and his family are wonderful, responsive, accommodating and warm hosts. Osvaldo gives good advice for hikes and rentals and offers help as soon as it's needed. Breakfast is very good and hearty. In short, in terms of value for money it will be difficult to find better elsewhere. Thanks again

Great stay at Dany and Guy's. The place is breathtaking. Our hosts were constantly thinking about the well-being of travelers. It's a magical place to visit once in a lifetime. Breakfasts allow us to start the day perfectly. As for the dinners, they are unique and everything is homemade with vegetables from the garden. Our stay was perfect and thanks again Guy and Dany for these good times spent in this Ecolodge. P.S. You have to try the homemade cocktails!

I can't believe I missed out on this village for so long! My family is from Porto Novo, and it never occurred to me to visit this place. It is a hidden gem for anyone who enjoys quiet spaces by the sea. The cottage itself is magical. I love the stone wall structure, the openness of the area, and the view and sound of the ocean right in front of me. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it perfect for anyone or a family to prepare homemade meals. The bed has an iron-sprung mattress, and I can’t remember the last time I slept on one. The waves pick up at night, lulling you to sleep and making you forget about everything else. There is no ATM here. Bring enough cash and a card. Also, consider buying extra bread in Porto Novo before arriving here. Bread sells quickly in Tarrafal. It was so nice to find some in the freezer. This side of the island has the best rum “grogue” in Santo Antao. Buy some! If you visit Tarrafal during the sea turtle nesting season, volunteer with TerriMar. Obrigado!
