6km NE of Rantepao. A rural self contained 3 bedroom dwelling set in a bamboo forest beside terraced rice fields. Within 80 meters of other village houses. Be looked after by people in the village and by qualified tour guides. Experience village life. Use this house as a base for trekking and exploring Tana Toraja. Has a kitchen and clean separate bathroom (toilet and shower). Recently built by an Australian Engineer/Architect for his part time personal use and as a gift to the local village.

Here you spend the night like a local in a quiet and green spot, with me (local guide) and my family. The rooms is wooden with a bed and mosqito net. Feel free to use the livingroom, kitchen and bathroom. Breakfast included. I also offer culture-tours: funeral ceremonies, hiking, traditional villages and to visit different burial sites. The place next to the ricefields is amazing! You are in the middle of the nature, flora and fauna just next to you. The rooster is still your natural morning bell - punctually to the minute for this beautiful sunrise above the mountains. Lullungs family and their friends lent always a sympathetic ear to us and were so lovely! Indonesian language skills could be helpful - body language and a translation app were our best friend. ;) But it's also no problem to contact Lullung, their son, who is not living there but always there for you and able to speak english. We ate two delicious dinner from Lullungs mother. The house is in some parts a bit under construction but not annoying, you have everything you need. We had a great time there!

Ik heb genoten van de gastvrijheid van Yakobus en zijn familie, prima kamer, diner in verblijf erg goed. Op een mooie, rustige plek Ruim aanbod aan specifieke culturele activiteiten zoals bijv rond begrafenissen, erg interessant, of trackings in prachtige natuur. Yakobus is een goede tour gids, verteld veel achtergrondinformatie, pro actief, helpt/denkt mee met regelen vervoer, vriendelijk en gevoel voor humor! Voor mij is deze plek een absolute aanrader! Ons verblijf was geweldig! Het contact met Willanda is geweldig. Hij reageert snel. Heeft heel veel goede tips en weet (als een guide) alles van Tana Toraja. Ook kun je bij hem terecht voor een gezellig praatje. Het was erg fijn dat Willanda zo flexibel was. Ondanks het vroege tijdstip dat we aankwamen, konden we toch al inchecken en direct naar ons huisje toe. Het huisje was top! Het is een mooi tiny-house achtige constructie, met een slaapkamer en een klein badkamertje. Enige wat misschien wat prettig zou zijn, is een zitruimte in het huisje zelf. Hier zou, evt. op de bovenverdieping zeker ruimte voor kunnen zijn. Gelukkig is er wel een fijne zitruimte bij het koffiezaakje van Willanda. Hier kun je o.a koffie en een biertje bestellen. De locatie is prima. Je zit aan een wat drukkere weg, maar daar heb je niet zoveel last van. Ook zijn er wat restaurants te vinden, maar de meeste zijn echter 5-10min rijden met de scooter (centrum). 100% aanrader Willanda, bedankt voor alles!

It was nice to stay there, view was amazing, the hospitality was awesome, two things that need improvement 1. The road was bad, also it was hard to find location 2. Needed wifi connection But overall it was awesome for staycation

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans ce homestay. Meyske n’était pas là, mais sa maman nous a accueilli à merveille, et Meyske s’est rendue disponible tous les jours par téléphone pour vérifier que tout allait bien et pour nous aider planifier notre séjour et la suite de notre voyage. Nous avons pu louer un scooter via Meyske, et nous avons eu également la possibilité de dîner un repas fait maison cuisiné par sa maman qui était vraiment délicieux! Nous recommandons fortement ce Homestay pour un séjour authentique au cœur du pays Toraja!
