Apartment vacation rentals in Takoma Park

Wonderful stay. Takoma Park is a great little part of the DMV with close by amenities, including a super awesome Mexican place and local butcher with killer breakfast burritos. The apartment was just as advertised and very pleasant. Fish was a great host. Will be returning.

Jan was a great host and the place is super comfortable. The location is great. I highly recommend staying here if you're out this way. A heads up to anyone booking, there is construction on University starting at the corner with the 7-11. If you're going East, be sure to be prepared for some treacherous potholes as of June 1st 2025. We discovered that if we were driving to DC that taking a right at that light and keep going straight, eventually the GPS will not have you backtrack.

This place was absolutely fantastic! The decor was beautifully done—stylish, welcoming, and full of thoughtful touches. It was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and feel at home. The location was perfect, with great spots to walk around and explore nearby. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. I would 100% stay here again. Five stars all the way around!

More than enjoyed staying at Kulwa's place. It's very cozy and comfortable and close to the downtown Takoma Park area and Silver Spring is close by. Kulwa was very easy to get in touch. Communication was smooth and she's very flexible. Would stay there again or recommend to friends.

This stay was MAGICAL. Every day we’d open the windows and the whole apartment would echo with the sound of wind between the leaves of the trees, the chatter of birds, the rustle of nature’s life outside. It is a hidden gem. We chose Alison’s place because we hoped to rest and recharge… and more than that happened. We were rested, recharged and inspired. It was homely and comfortable it was difficult to leave! We didn’t have a car, but the area was walkable and the station/metro was close. And the best part - the kitchen! I’m a chef by profession and that kitchen had everything. This is above what I’ve ever experienced in an Airbnb. Alison was super responsive and even more kind. She was genuine with her recommendations of places to see.

Pretty comfortable, well equipped, clean and spacious apt. Enjoyed the natural light and surrandings --Rock Creek Park. Easy access and clear instructions were very helpfull. Thank you so such for such an easy, pleasant and friendly stay!

Me and my fiancé had a great stay and enjoyed the surrounding area. It was very peaceful and the views at night were amazing. Would recommend!

Sally’s place is a beautifully and a peaceful haven that beckons you to spend time in it. Decorated with Sally’s own artwork that I loved so much I bought one of her paintings!! Note that while the shower is small (fine for a short person) she invites you to use a bigger one downstairs. The kitchen sink is a bit awkward for short people, but the kitchen is well equipped and I easily made several simple meals. There’s a beautiful garden that Sally welcomes you to use. And it’s an easy walk to Takoma Park or Silver Spring. Sally herself is an amazing and kind host. Incredibly friendly, helpful, and very responsive. I really loved staying at Sally’s place and highly recommend it!!!

Good neighborhood and place was well kept. Communication was good. A few things could be improved: The team we communicated with did not always have information about our specific location. We also suggest adding a few more items to the kitchen (like a dish drying rack, more utensils, and measuring cups) to facilitate cooking, but overall we made it work. Thank you very much!

Thank you for such a wonderful stay! I came to D.C. for my graduation week at Howard and was pleasantly surprised to discover I’d be staying at a fellow Bison’s Airbnb. Larry and Lisa were amazing hosts—so kind, helpful, and patient, especially when I accidentally locked myself out right after check-in! 🙈 Thank you both for your hospitality and warmth. This was a great experience, and I’m so glad I chose your place during such a special moment in my life.

My family and I love staying at Christine's space. the basement apartment is clean, spacious, kid-friendly and has everything you need to feel at home. While away one day, I asked for a step stool for my son. When I returned, I not only found the step stool at the front door, but on top of it was a dino toy and beside it were cars and trucks for my son to play with. Without asking, they provided my kiddo with extra toys to play with, all of which he enjoyed.

For a solid home base while visiting DC, Elhadji’s place fit the bill. Really spacious and filled with light. We never felt cramped or crowded. Some areas in the apartment need a little TLC, which also shows how popular this place is. Overall, a great stay with a very communicative host.

This basement room was large and roomy. It had a full size refrigerator and large "kitchen" sink. It seemed like the microwave, toaster, silverware, portable two burner electric stove top and toaster oven all seemed new. The two seat kitchen table was handy. While the bath room was a little small it had all you needed and was very clean like the rest of the unit. Thanks to Katerina and Gus for making us feel welcome.

Super clean, comfortable, and very quiet apartment. Cyn and David respond quickly to questions or issues related to the apartment. The apartment is very close to the city and attractions. The metro is a 12- to 15-minute walk away. It's a safe area for walking. We loved the area and will definitely return to this beautiful apartment.

Completely satisfied with my stay! The location is close by many grocery stores and restaurants. Snacks and plenty of cookware is provided. Sergio was also very responsive and kind.

This place was perfect for my short stay in DC! The apartment was spotless and decorated beautifully. I appreciated the clear check-in instructions and quick responses from the hosts whenever I had a question. The stocked fridge was also a nice touch that I appreciated after a long drive! Would definitely recommend.

This is a great place to stay and tour the DC Metro area - provided you have a car. Most days it would take us 30 minutes to get to and from DC though if we hit rush-hour, it was as long as an hour. The space is tidy and great. My kids love the pool, though it was a little cold for me-they swam there every night. Jennifer is great to communicate if you have any needs she gets stuff done right away. Note that there is only one bathroom, which can be a pain if you have a full house of six people. The washer and dryer are small so it will take you longer if you’re used to a full size. She had all the cooking methods and appliances available. The theater room has Netflix and Amazon prime ready for you to watch a show. There is even a popcorn maker. We did not use the gym, but it was nice - comparable to a small hotel gym. Property is in the owner’s basement, so there is some sound from upstairs as identified in the listing. Host stays out of your way but is there if you need anything.

We loved staying at Hidden Gardens. It was very clean and Noris made it extra special with all her personal touches to make us feel very special. The garden out back is very relaxing and just beautiful. We loved sitting out there and enjoying all the beautiful flowers and greenery. Noris is an excellent host and amazing person. She made us feel special and we felt right at home. I can’t wait to go back. Noris is a “super-host”.

We stayed one month at Saber's place. The place had all the basic things we needed. The location was great for using the metro and buses to DC. We walked to Georgetown and National Mall. There were plenty of good restaurants around and Safeway and Target nearby. We were two females, but felt safe walking around the area and even at night. Saber was proactive in communicating and responded quickly to questions.

Arshams listing is wonderful! Everything was so clean and fit all 5 of us so comfortably! We loved the tea options 😍. It was in perfect walking distances from great food, coffee places (and fun little bevs) as well as an easy walk to the metro! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Our family had an amazing stay at this Airbnb in Washington DC! The location was ideal—just a short walk to the Metro, making sightseeing effortless. The neighborhood was safe and welcoming, which gave us peace of mind while traveling. Dining options nearby were a great convenience, with a fantastic Thai restaurant across the street and a pizza place next door. This was nice because we often returned from a long day of walking and needed to eat close by. A grocery store a few blocks away was an added bonus. Inside, the space was perfect for our family of six, with two bedrooms, comfortable beds, and two bathrooms that made mornings smoother. Large windows added to the relaxing atmosphere, and the projector in one room made for memorable movie nights. Our teens especially loved the pool table on the main floor. This Airbnb was the perfect base for our DC adventure, and we’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended for families or anyone seeking a comfortable, well-located stay!
