A suspension bridge is viewed against a backdrop of snow-covered mountains under a bright blue sky. Snow blankets the pathway leading to the bridge, framed by trees, with the sunlight creating a shimmering effect on the snow. The scene captures a serene and picturesque winter landscape.

Tranquil Mountain Getaway | Breathtaking Scenery

KumaranRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had an unreal time staying here! Genuinely couldn’t recommend it more if you’re thinking of booking. Anju and her family were lovely, super helpful with loads of suggestions for things to do and even held onto our bags the whole next day for us so that we could go out on a hike without lugging them around! They also run a lovely little cafe just across from the train station, perfect for grabbing a coffee or bite before heading off for a hike or whatever you’re up to (and you get a free coffee if you’re staying in the Airbnb, which is a nice touch) They’re doing a brilliant job with the place, the vibe in the cafe is deadly and the accommodation itself is massive! There were only three of us but the place could easily fit more, and the kitchen’s fully kitted out if you want to cook. The local shop also has a really good range of items, the fresh meats are great!

This is an amazing property right next to Studio Ghibli Park. The house was immaculate and had so much room! Our family really enjoyed local restaurants and the host was wonderful to work with.
A spacious traditional room is highlighted by shoji screens, allowing light to filter in. Two rattan chairs sit invitingly, facing large windows that provide views of the serene surroundings. The room features elegant wooden details and a soft tatami mat flooring.

Satoyama Outdoor Field/Kominka Cottage Torose

Mai SarahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I stayed at the house with my two other female friends. The location is a little bit remote so it can get a little dark. But, all of us felt very safe at the house. We got to experience an authentic japanese house too! The surrounding was peaceful and beautiful. There was a waterfall nearby so you can walk and just hang out there. The house is even better than the pictures. And everything in it was complete. Clean, comfy and just felt right at home. Sato is also very responsive, friendly and thoughtful. We’re glad for her to have let us stay at her place. All and all, I would totally recommend staying here.
A traditional-style building features wooden elements and a tiled roof, blending historical and modern aesthetics. A wooden door opens to a welcoming entryway, with large windows allowing natural light to illuminate the space. The facade is complemented by a stylish wooden bench.

Usagi-Ya Machiya in Mino, a private rental hotel

光輝Rating, 5 stars1 month ago
I used it for sightseeing this time. They explained the necessary information in detail before check-in, so I was able to check in without any problems on the day. Also, I was very relieved to receive a quick reply when I asked something I wanted to confirm via message. Also, the accommodation was very clean, and the exterior and interior of the room matched the townscape of Mino. The host's respect for the history and life of Mino was also conveyed from this accommodation. The location is just around the corner from the tourist information center, and there are restaurants nearby that are open at night, so you won't have any trouble eating out.Of course, even if you want to cook yourself, there is also a supermarket and 100-yen shop within walking distance that are open until 21: 00, so you won't have any problems buying ingredients or daily necessities. Overall, this trip was very fulfilling thanks to the host, Akiyuki, and this accommodation.I'd love to stay again if I get the chance.Thank you again for everything.
