Experience!: Tokyo, nature, and Japanese living

SteeleRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Etsu should write the textbook on hosting people. Staying at matcha terrace was truly a special experience. The home is even more beautiful than the pictures. One day I was not feeling well, Etsu did everything she could to make sure I felt better. I am really happy I was at matcha terrace at that time. It is a beautiful Japanese home. It’s very quiet, and you get a lot of privacy and room for yourself. She cooks an AMAZING breakfast every morning. It’s a beautiful way to start your day. She drove me to and from the station. On my last day she stopped to show me the Hydrangeas at a local shrine. As a solo traveler she offered to take pictures of me, without me asking. No detail is too small for Etsu. She has local insights and gives very good recommendations. I plan on coming back to matcha terrace the next time I am in Japan. Seriously a special place and an incredible host. Would highly recommend! Plus a cute dog 😊

We had great pleasure to stay at Risa’s house. Together with her dogs she provided us with highest quality of care. House is located out of noisy part of a city it is a great hub to relax and regenerate after long days outside. Would highly recommend to anyone needing safespace while in Tokyo.

High-speed Wi-Fi and comfortable remote work

This has been one of the most seamless and perfectly managed Airbnbs I have stayed in. Kudos to Takemasa and the team who runs it, I ams o curious to know how you all run this space so efficiently. It's spotlessly clean, very comfortable, all the amenities and comforts that one needs for a comfortable stay. The room is decently sized with everything you need inside so you can live in your space like your home. Everything is automated so you don't need to bother anyone for anything and manage by yourself. Thank you for your hospitality and I will stay here again for sure. About the location - it does take time to get to Tokyo's hotspots but I feel it's really worth it because this neighbourhood is quiet with some fun places around too. And frankly, in Tokyo it does take time to get anywhere so don't judge this place by it's location, you will be just fine :)

Miyoko-san was very welcoming and treated me just as her daughter. I felt just like at home at Miyoko-san's home. The guestroom and the bed were comfy, making the stay incredibly calm and nice. The neighbourhood is quiet and nice. Always enjoyed chatting with Miyoko-san as well!🫶🏼 I will definitely go back again and stay longer.

Fantastic accommodation where you can also make breakfast and food yourself. Very nice simple and clean and pleasant. Tetsuya and Kayo were super helpful and usually back with an answer within a minute. Very safe and pleasant feeling in a very quiet neighborhood.

My stay with Hiroyuki was the best way to end my Japan trip. He made sure my stay felt like home by offering to pick us up, show us around the town, and give us local recommendations. He is very knowledgeable about the area, the history of Japan, and Japanese culture in general. His home is extremely clean, and he always had snacks out for us when we got home. I enjoyed talking to him and his wife, their English is great and they had a lot of funny things to say! The area around where they live is very peaceful and quiet. There are many great restaurants near the station which is 10 minutes away by foot. I highly recommend eating at one of the many ramen restaurants. I also recommend taking day trips to the Yokohama bay, Kamakura, and Enoshima. I could not recommend staying with Hiroyuki more!
