I definetely recommend this place for everyone who plans to visit Fuji! It takes 17 minutes from kawaguchiko station by walk. K's house super clean, the receptionist are very friendly and helpful. The lounge is also cozy and very clean! You can enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji while sitting in the lounge too🫶🏻

An absolute extraordinary stay which may remain unmatched. Kakurinbo Buddhist Temple is a customary style so if you want the true essences, this is your stay. The benefits of this location is worth every means of transportation to get here. (I recommend a cab to the front door, due to the incline, heavy luggage or after dark hours.) It offers miles of trees, wild life, stars and untainted air. The meals are thoughtfully prepared with organic and authentic ingredients. Every staff coordination is served with precision: baths, transportation, yoga and evening entertainment. The cleanliness is impeccable throughout each and every day, the simplicity of this living will have you returning home to declutter your life. Last but not least, the Kuonji Temple is magical, soul cleansing, breathtaking. Your stay here is only steps away from a life changing experience. Thanks for your hospitality!I used it on a graduation trip with my university class, and we were able to relax without worrying about other guests because they handled it as a private rental! You can also BBQ on the lovely kitchen terrace, and I am very satisfied! The European-style room is also very cute, and I would definitely like to stay there again!

We had an amazing time visiting Shimoda. We are from Southwestern Virginia and this was our first time in Japan. Our host helped us feel welcome and was patient with all of our questions. The room was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. Our host suggested a resturant that was within walking distance. It had amazing food and the people were so kind. The spot is also very close to a beautiful beach.

Tohru is a great host. If you wanna get a real Japanese Airbnb experience this place is for you.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts are really nice and friendly :-) We faced a situation where we misplaced our keys but the host was really nice about it and offered a different room (for safety reasons) almost immediately after we told her 😊 The kitchen has all the appliances such as kettles, plates, cutlery and a fridge! There are two shower and two toilet cubicles on each level - shampoo and body soap are provided. The lounge area was also very comfortable to hang around. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely stay here again if we ever come back to mt fuji!

absolutely nothing to complain. location is perfect. 3 mins walking access to beach. combini and supermarket is very close as well.

If you are concerned about the lack of reviews like I was before then theres no need to worry! This hotel room was the best airbnb I’ve been at before. However, would only recommend if you have a car. The room was brand new. Complimentary wine bottle, beers and snacks. Spacious, luxurious and modern. Warm foot bath on the balcony with a view (not breathtaking but a view nonetheless). Massive bath and toilet, with hotspring bath with adjustable water heat. And a sauna (although we didnt get to use)! Free parking with plenty of spaces. Self-check in easily. Only regret was not spending more time there. Although it is on the more expensive side being a hotel, definitely worth it to wind down from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We had a great stay with Japanese ryokan experience. The onsens are great and it is placed in a comparatively remote area making it a peaceful place. You should note that luggage delivery service is apparently is not available for this place, so think of it ahead. They also bring you to some restaurants for dinner but make sure you make a reservation there yourself.

A great, very nice host family. Maki's breakfast was very tasty and the onsen a great relaxation in the evening. Maki's husband even drove us to the train station on the last day, very nice! A beautiful ryokan!

This experience made me feel the unique charm of a Japanese tatami inn. The inn is located near Dashi Park, in a great location, about 10 minutes' drive from Kawaguchi Lake Station, with convenient transportation.The quiet surroundings of the hotel allow you to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the tranquility of nature. Unfortunately, the weather was not good, I didn't see Mt. Fuji for the first two days, and only saw the main Mt. Fuji when I checked out on the third day, which was a bit of a waste of the advantage of being able to see Mt. Fuji directly from the room.I will come back another day, thank you Wat for your 100% service!

We really like the place. It was cosy, clean, and most importantly — we woke up with very clear, beautiful view of Mt Fuji. On top of that, the room is spacious. Our daughter really likes the place too; it gives her more space to go around than any other accommodation in Japan.

I had an amazing time during my brief stay at Episode Izu! The lodge is a fascinating blend of North American architecture and Japanese hospitality that made me feel right at home. During my stay, I enjoyed both exploring the local sights—such as the stunning coastline and breathtaking Mount Omuro—and relaxing indoors, especially soaking in the hotel’s private onsen. Its location makes it a highly recommended base if you're visiting the Izu Peninsula!

We had an amazing experience here! The view of Mt Fuji is just amazing. Very peaceful and and we loved having the common space with coffee and tea available. Very relaxing. The bath was also so amazing. I wasn’t feeling all that great from allergies when getting there but the bath helped me relax and feel so much better! Our host was very kind and accommodating. He helped us with everything — setting up the time for the bath, setting up a taxi, answering all our questions, and helping us with our very heavy luggage! Highly recommend. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!
