My family and I needed a beautiful and peaceful place to stay while saying goodbye to our mother in Cordele. Larry reached out to us and made sure that we had everything we needed and more. He went above and beyond as a host and a compassionate person. This beautiful lake home and its amazing host was an absolute blessing and I cannot thank him enough.

We were comfortable from the moment we walked through the door of this house. It's welcoming with an ideal balance of private and communal space, inside and out. The kitchen had everything we needed, so over three days we ate every meal at the house. We didn't always need to cook because there was prepared food within a few minutes' drive. Susan provided plenty of suggestions for groceries, restaurants, and activities at Veterans State Park. We all slept great and attribute that to the quality of the bedding and mattresses as well as the sense of peace in the neighborhood. We spent evenings working on a puzzle enjoying a cozy fire and the fairy lights around the mantle. The wifi allowed remote work. Susan communicated well and was quick to respond to questions. She was personable and welcoming. We look forward to returning in warmer weather when we can take advantage of the pool and spend more time on the dock watching the sunset. We couldn't be happier with our stay. Thanks, Susan!

Review: Our stay at the lake house on Lake Blackshear was nothing short of incredible! My family and I traveled 12 hours to spend Thanksgiving with my father-in-law, and this home provided the perfect setting for a truly memorable holiday. The views were absolutely breathtaking—watching the sunrise and sunset from the porch quickly became our favorite part of the day. The house was well-equipped with all the amenities we needed, making our stay both comfortable and convenient. We spent our days fishing and relaxing by the water, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. It was exactly what we needed to unwind and reconnect as a family. The host clearly put a lot of thought into making the home welcoming and enjoyable for guests. If you’re looking for a serene getaway with stunning views and everything you need to relax, this lake house is the perfect choice. Would highly recommend.

Perfect quiet place to relax. Plenty of room for a large family or multiple couples. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning sunshine with the brisk Fall air! The location was perfect for our weekend adventures- Georgia Veterans Stare Park, Andersonville, downtown Cordele, and Montezuma.

Impressed by warm and hospitality of the host. Cleanliness and comfortable staying on her place. Nestled in commercial area but have its private place. Peaceful and accessible. Ms. Safa Margarette went above and beyond making sure that you got everything you needed and always asking if you needed something. Will highly recommend staying in her place.

Cute place for one night. Cecil was always responsive to our questions. A few details on the place: One room has a ceiling fan. The other two rooms don’t. This was a little challenging, but we all still slept ok. As mentioned in previous comments, there is a barking dog next door, so bring your ear plugs. Town: There’s really no places to eat at in Plains so you will need to go to a nearby city for a nice breakfast or dinner.
