Vacation rentals with beach access in Summerstrand

We had a great stay at Xoliswa’s bungalow. It was well presented, comfortable and close to some of the best restaurants in PE. It’s unfortunate that there was heavy rainfall during the time we went, which meant that we could not spend much time outdoors. There was also a minor issue with a leaking room due to the heavy rain but this was attended to quickly by the host and did not impact our stay. Overall highly recommended and we would return!

It's a lovely property and I find the Host to be very friendly and professional.

Natasha's place is great and central with a nice view. I would recommend it to anyone. Not only was it easy to check in there were small drinks that really help on arrival. Would book it again

Eleanor is welcoming, helpful and communicates efficiently. The place is beautiful, clean, smells amazing. I slept peacefully. Eleanor pays attention to detail. I wish I had more time to enjoy the stay and experience fully.

Our stay at Liesl exceeded our expectations. Her friendliness, the location, the accommodation were exactly what we needed and we felt right at home! We are not familiar with PE and we felt safe, relaxed and comfortable with her place. It was near everything we needed. A wonderful family stay! Will return.

This is a great house to stay whilst in the area. Hosts are very helpful and friendly. Nice welcome in the house. Facilities exactly as described. Easy walk to waterfront for supermarket, restaurants or just exploring the waterfront. We were a group of 4 and plenty of room /space for us and would be for a few more without feeling tight. Lovely place.

Maryke was super responsive. So quick to answer questions and advise accordingly. She kindly allowed us a late check out without issue. It was the perfect base for Ironman South Africa. The house is large, but yet homely. The house and gardens are immaculate. The pool (sole use) is a bonus! Secure parking just outside the front door. We always felt safe. Maryke is charming, professional and helpful. I thoroughly recommend her house to anyone thinking of visiting Port Elizabeth.

It was a pretty good user experience, as this was my first time using Airbnb app & booked on the day upon arriving in PE with my family. Very attentive and friendly host. Quick message response. The home had everything you needed, it was cosy & very welcoming. It was amazing to be in walking distance of the beach. It was clean with fresh towels even though we brought our own with. The only low score I would give is shops like looking for a woolworths is quite a stretch to drive but otherwise basic convienant stores were in the area where we were staying. There were alot of rules and we tried our best to stick to them consistently. Our host even booked a cleaning lady for us, even though Im OCD and cleaned. This was such a kind gesture. We would definately love to book this home again in the future.

Paul hosted our family at his home during a very difficult time for us as a family - we lost our mom and grandmother, and came from Windhoek to PE my hometown, to lay her to rest. The home was precisely as it was listed and described. It was exceptionally clean and neat. The home provided us with a place of warmth, calm, space, peace and reflection we needed during this time. It also provided us with ample space to welcome our family and friends who came to comfort and sympathize with us during the week we stayed in PE. I cannot thank Paul and dearest Antoinette (property manager) enough for this opportunity. It was divinely orchestrated that our paths cross and we get to spend an unforgettable time in your home. Simply lovely stay, right on the beach. Peaceful and quiet surroundings, so we were really able to relax. We felt safe and secure. Lovely to sit on the deck, seeing the sun go down over the sea. It is a pity we could only stay 2 nights, we are planning to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommended!

Absolutely love staying at Liesl’s place – we've returned several times and it never disappoints. A true "house by the sea," it’s our go-to in Port Elizabeth. Schoenmakerskop is peaceful, the ocean soundtrack is soothing, and the Sacramento trail nearby is perfect for enjoying the local flora. We’ll definitely be back if Liesl will have us!

We loved our stay at the pretty Wisteria Cottage. It is clearly lovingly looked after and decorated, and has lots of thoughtful touches, like comfortable soft blankets, and inspiring books to read. Michelle had even left milk in the fridge for us, and delicious rusks - thank you! The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals, the beds were comfortable, and the whole place feels spacious and homely. Michelle was very friendly and super responsive, and welcomed us with much warmth, which made us feel right at home. The place is ideally situated; the neighbourhood feels quiet, safe and clean, and 6th Avenue with its row of excellent restaurants (incl. Boccadillos, the Hussar Grill, and Cobblestone Bakery) is close by. It's the perfect peaceful oasis for recovering after long days of sightseeing! Thank you, Michelle!

This was our second stay with Charmaine and her husband who are such friendly and welcoming hosts. Charmaine always kept us updated about the load shedding schedule which was so helpful and really goes that extra mile Check in was also flexible. The apartment was spotless with loads of space and everything that we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Lovely views and been able to sit out on the veranda and enjoy our morning coffee was amazing. Highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back again .

Peaceful, accessable neat and so much more exactly what I needed for my week stay. It was comfortable and the view was the best going to miss seeing the sunrise and sunsets. Coffee and breakfast on the balcony. Thank you Hennie for sharing your beautiful space with others. I felt truly blessed and highly favored. Hennie responded to every question I had I was like a real granny but he was patient with me. Bless you I trust and hope to be back soon.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The highlight for us was the pool and the breathtaking ocean view—it was the perfect setting to unwind. The accommodation was incredibly spacious, and we especially loved spending time on the balcony, soaking in the views. We also miss our morning strolls to Indigo coffee shop, conveniently located just a short walk away. This place is a true gem, and we can’t wait to return!
