Haukur and Vaida’s home in Isafjodur was perfect to explore the area, beautifully appointed, quaint, and felt so cozy to come home to after a long day of trekking through the west fjords. The house also had the perfect bedroom for our two children, was walkable to city center, and a lovely house cat Hosa who made the stay even more enjoyable!

We had a wonderfully peaceful stay at Mountain Song. The place was very cozy and secluded and perfect for getting away from it all. We were there late in the season, but even with some of the roads and trails inaccessible, we found plenty to keep us busy with nearby hikes, restaurants, breweries, and painting and reading while watching the snow fall out the windows.

A quiet retreat in the Westfjords not far from the town of Isafjorda. The home was clean and peaceful and gave us room to spread out. It has a beautiful view of the mountains flanking each side of the fjord and was very private even with other homes nearby. We appreciated having a hot tub to relax at the end of the day and access to a laundry room.

Lovely summer house in countryside, close to town

We stayed in this cabin and used it as a base to explore the Westfjords. What an excellent stay we had! The place was pristinely clean and larger than what we expected after viewing the pictures. There is excellent outdoor space with patio tables on both the front and back decks. Don't be nervous about the outdoor shower...It was an excellent way to start each day! Access to town is only 5 mins by car where you find grocery stores and a few restaurants. Our host provided tons of useful info to guide our journeys and was super responsive. We couldn't have asked for a better home away from home! Also, the Westfjords are ridiculously gorgeous and made for an experience I'll never forget.

The appartment was great, well equipped and clean with a great view. Snorri and his wife are excellent hosts, kind and helpful. We did have a small issue with the bathroom sink, as it would not drain the water at first - it turned out we are less than competent, as all we had to do was push a small button behind the faucet to open the drain 🤦‍♀️ Luckily for us, Snorri and his wife immediatelly came to our rescue and fixed it with a push of a button 😆 Anyway, we had a great time there and want to thank Snorri and his wife for an excellent stay!

An excellent place to stay in Isafjordur - centrally located and great to stay for a couple of nights on a trip round the Westfjords. The bathroom was lovely (heated floors made for quick drying in the wet room!), and kitchen had everything you needed for a short stay (although note kettle, hob, etc are stored in a drawer, which had me puzzled when hunting for them initially 😂) Halldor was a fantastic host, very friendly, helpful and let us know when the northern lights started on our second night (and invited us up onto his decking to watch) - perfect! Would highly recommend 😊

j'ai beaucoup apprécié ce séjour chez Sigurður. Le logement est fonctionnel, il y a tout le nécessaire pour le voyageur, la machine à laver est un plus. il est très bien situé au centre ville à proximité de tout et surtout du port pour aller dans le Hornstrandir.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sophie’s B&B. Sophie was a very friendly and accommodating host. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting her and sitting around her dining room table for a chat and appies. The included and personalized breakfast was a lovely bonus. Sophie was helpful with recommendations and ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you Sophie for making us feel like welcomed friends during our stay!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus von Jona ist sehr gemütlich, hat allen Komfort und nach einer Wanderung in der Nähe von Nupur konnten wir im Whirlpool super entspannen! Es ist eine sehr empfehlenswerte Ausgangslage für Ausflüge in die Westfjorde (Dynjandi etc). Und wir fanden es besser als auf den Fotos dargestellt….

Stéphanie was very helpful and responsive to our questions. Her instructions were clear on how to get into the house. We were sharing the space with another couple who were also very kind. We were mainly only there to sleep at night. The only thing we noticed was there was some hairs in our bed which we brushed off before getting in, but other then that everything else was great!

Aufgrund der Wetterverhältnisse konnten wir leider nicht anreisen, aber die Kommunikation war top und sollten wir noch mal die Gelegenheit haben in diese Richtung zu reisen, würden wir erneut bei Vilhelm buchen.

We hadden en last-minute boeking omdat ze zeer snel reageerde was dit nog mogelijk. Prima appartement, schoon en met goede banken om uit te rusten. Keuken was prima en de atlas is geweldig.
