Historic Commercial Hotel(1868)Karolyn Grimes Room

KevinRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This is a neat little spot. Definitely felt like an old west hotel in terms of decor. Simple room and to the point. Comfy bed. I know this town since I'm from the area, but there's good printed info in the room for the local spots to check out. On the town square, so great if you're visiting for a car show! Easy parking (I was in a Uhaul).

Family Cottage

Our family of seven greatly enjoyed our overnight stay at this rustic cabin in rural Missouri. The beds were comfortable, the showers were great and the gift basket full of goodies was a nice personal touch. Make sure that you come early enough to take in a walk on the camp grounds to enjoy the beautiful scenery and bring your swimsuits to take a dip in the pool. No kitchen, no problem! Jodi recommended that we drive five minutes to get breakfast and coffee at Bulldog Brew the next morning.

Historic Commercial Hotel(1868) Jesse James Suite

RobRating, 5 stars10 months ago
This is second time I've stayed at the hotel. Was anxious to stay in the newly renovated Jesse James suite because of my interest in local history. Robert and his wife have done an amazing job with the property. It has been lovingly restored with great detail. They highlight the amazing history of the hotel very well. The suite was clean and comfortable. The shared shower room worked fine. Easy access to come and go as needed. Robert knew of my interest in history, so he offered to give me a guided tour of a local area where a historical event occurred. As the former Mayor of Osceola, he has a wealth of knowledge and generously spent over two hours doing the tour. I plan on staying at the property when I am in town next time. Highly recommend this property.

Historic Commercial Hotel(Est.1868)"The Dam Room"

We loved the fun historical vibe of our hotel! Our host was lovely and friendly. She gave us much about the history of the hotel which we found facinating. Our overall experience was a delight.
