We (my husband, me and our 22-month-old daughter) had a great time at Alain's. He was very available throughout our stay, regularly checking in to make sure everything was going well. He intervened quickly when needed, including checking the water and electricity, and he took care of recharging the electricity meter for most of our stay, which was very much appreciated. The accommodation is impeccable: very clean, bright and as advertised. The building and neighborhood are secure, allowing us to stay with peace of mind. The driver and the vehicle he provided were of excellent quality, making our trips enjoyable and carefree. Finally, the housekeeper did an incredible job. His presence was always visible and we appreciated his efficiency. We highly recommend this listing and thank Alain again for hosting us and for his professionalism! Joyce, Chloé, Nathan

I was very skeptical at first since it was my first time using Airbnb in Cameroon. I wasn’t sure if the facility matched it's description, what the customer service would be, how secure it was, and so forth. However, when I arrived Hakeem's, everything exceeded my expectation. The front desk got all our luggage and thank goodness there was an elevator. I was most impressed about the fact that housekeepers cleaned everyday and linens and towels were changed every other day. The level of general maintenance of the facility was top notch, something which is not very common in Cameroon. Standby Generator and reliable WiFi I am so thankful to all the staff and the care they provided throughout our stay. The Manager (Felicita), our Chef (Severine), the Receptionist (Emmanuel) and the Security guard who went above and beyond to wash our car whenever he could. My hope is that such businesses survive and strive in the long run that’s why I am going to promote this facility any way I can.

It was a pleasure to stay at the property, especially as it was a longer stay that usual for me in one place. We were met upon arrival to the property and were advised throughout our stay that we can contact 24/7 at any hour for assistance. While we did not have to contact Ulrich at any unreasonable hour, every time we had communication it was responded to within a few minutes. We had a few challenges upon arrival, however they were addressed immediately to our satisfaction. There are plenty of moto's to take you around, you literally walk out of the building and they are all around, it was a great way to get back and forth for reasonable distances, other that that we used Yango (UBER in Cameroon) which worked out very well when needed, and it was easy for them to find the place. There is a small store right in front of the unit which was very useful. It was a great stay and I suggest you stay here while in Douala, you will not be disappointed.

The host was quick to respond and resolved my issues. Him or Sam would follow up to ensure we were satisfied. Sam is phenomenal, pleasant, and respectful. I admire his work ethic. Every day, he would clean the compound. I noticed he was always working. He cleaned the house once during my 8 days on the property, and he did a good job. There are securities on the compound, so I felt safe at night.

We had an amazing stay at this apartment. Located in a great neighborhood, it is very secure and offers all the comfort you need. The three bedrooms are spacious, making it ideal for my family. The WiFi is not only reliable but also very fast, which was a huge plus! Security is top-notch, with a guard present 24/7, allowing us to fully enjoy our stay with peace of mind. The host is responsive and attentive to guests’ needs. I highly recommend this apartment and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Douala!

Residence La Marina : Appartement premium

M. Serge was an excellent host. I spent one month at the Residence La Marina and it was awesome. I highly recommend it to everyone who need a safe and clean place. I had a very good experience at Marius’s place. The apartment is very well located - within walking distance of many restaurants, the Zepol bakery/shop, and short rides to night life. The Co-host (Rafael) is very responsive and resourceful. He helped me secure a local driver, and provided significant guidance on local administrative stuff. He also made good suggestions on local restaurants, stores, bars, etc. I highly recommend this appartement and the host.

It was a pleasure to stay there, the place is as described and it was very clean. We even had someone come and change the bed linen and clean the house while we where there. I do recommend. It was a little tricky to get hold of the host sometimes but despite that it was fine overall. Great Host!!!

Stéphanie's apartment is perfect! Same as the photos, if not better. It is located on a very quiet and secure street, we felt safe at all hours. We encountered no problems during our stay. The host was very kind and available upon our arrival and even allowed us to do a late checkout as our return flight was late. Thank you very much! We will definitely be back:)

I strongly recommend this place; everything was as described and shown in the photos. Host was quite responsive and flexible. Regular cleaning was also done at no extra cost. The road leading to the location from the main road is currently the best especially for cars (although this is not the host's fault/responsibility).

The exterior of the building features a three-story design with balconies adorned by wrought iron railings. Lush greenery and blooming flowers line the front, offering a vibrant contrast to the brick façade. The driveway is accessible, leading to a gated entrance.
