We all felt right at home at Mary’s place. We were welcomed when we arrived and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There is a lot of space to spread out in the family suite with a decent heat pump which kept us very warm. Electric blankets and quality pressed linen were on the beds. The two cabins where my other family members stayed were slightly smaller, but still very comfortable with teas, coffee and fresh milk in the fridge. The property is very peaceful with wonderful views of the countryside and surrounding areas. We hope to be back again. We didn’t take up the option of a home cooked meal as we were attending a wedding, but we do hope to be back again some time in the future. Thank you Mary and your mum Rosemary for hosting us at your beautiful home.

Although our stay was only 13 hours due to a packed itinerary, this was easily one of the most memorable and welcoming places we’ve ever experienced. We were greeted with fresh bread, milk, orange juice, butter, and eggs—all waiting for us upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms spotless, and the entire home full of charm. Waking up to the stunning landscape the next morning took our breath away. We can’t wait to return—and next time, we’ll stay much longer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! It felt like our own private resort. We are locals and it was the perfect little escape for a big celebration. All the wonderful provisions included in the stay really lifted everything to the next level. Two words to describe our stay overall would be relaxing and indulgent. Highly recommend.

This stay was everything I love about AirBnB. Lovely hosts, a beautiful quiet home in stunning surrounds and every little extra and thoughtful touch you could imagine. We had three nights here and found have happily stayed for a week. Perfectly set up for a family. And two lovely horses at the garden fence. Would happily recommend to anyone.

If I could give more stars I would. Mort and April's place is one of the most stunning places I have ever been to. The photos honestly don't do it justice it is such a pristine, calm, peaceful place with the perfect amenities, the most cosy bed and a delectable shower (and that's not even getting into the bush walk, the vista and the spa pool!). I wish we hadn't made any plans in Cambridge and had just spent all of our time at the villa, it was truly magical. We were lucky enough to be blessed with perfect weather but I think even if it was raining it would still have been perfect. Will definitely be back!

Jeanette’s place is lovely, your room is just for your use and there is other space in your area and a deck area but really it feels like you are a guest in the house as you can use the lounge and kitchen and a delicious breakfast is provided. Your guest area is very private.

Margaret & Dem were the finest hosts. Mangakino is central to a number of NZ places of interest - like Taupō, Rotorua & Waitomo Glowworm caves. We drove to each & loved coming home to our comfortable & homely accommodation. The area is lovely with the Maraetai Lake on the Waikato River. A beautiful outlook. Our lovely hosts were knowledgeable & informative, as well as being great company. A really lovely Airbnb experience.

Our stay with Karleen was only one night as we were passing through Arapuni on a cycling trip, but we felt at ease and comfortable straightaway. Karleen was welcoming, is a lovely person & host and we had some interesting conversations. The bathroom was modern, clean and a great shower. The bedroom was lovely and a comfortable bed. We were at ease using the shared areas too; kitchen, lounge, dining area and outside decking. Thank you, and to Billie the cat for being welcoming too.

Jacinta's place was lovely and peaceful. She made me a delicious (early) breakfast and allowed me to wash some laundry. I would recommend this place.

It was wonderful staying with Mike and Jacinta for the period. They are very friendly and helpful hosts. The accommodation is extremely nice and I would highly recommend this to someone traveling in the area. The included breakfast is exceptional. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
