Nature eco lodge vacation rentals in South Asia

One of my best stays and trips ever. The cottage is so comfortable and feels cozy. The porch outside overlooks the entire valley and the hills on the other side. The host’s family is so nice. Damchoe and her family made such delicious Bhutanese food for me and showed such hospitality and kindness and went above and beyond to make me feel at home. Highly recommend.

We visited here for two days, along with our pet dog. It was my dog’s first trip. This stay was exactly what we had hoped for. The way they have maintained this place simply and beautifully, it felt like home. The care taker and the cook were proactive and very polite towards our needs. We would definitely wish to visit again.

Sumedha was an obliging host, his hospitality 1st class. Highly recommend staying here.

1000 characters won’t be able to summarise the goodness of JD bhai, his family, and his abode. There stay shimmers purity and so do the smiling faces of his family. For me, it’s about people as much as it’s about the place… their tranquil eco lodge amidst the pristine beauty of Jibhi compliments the beauty in their hearts. I will be back for a longer stay… many conversations await! Lots of love!

Place was simple and sufficient. Host was welcoming and cooked a really nice breakfast. Overall amazing stay , would recommend.

A serene and secluded retreat in a Rajasthan village. The location is truly isolated, with no one around for a 4 km radius. While this offers peace and tranquility, it can feel a bit eerie at times. The hosts, however, were extremely friendly and welcoming, making the stay enjoyable. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a unique and immersive experience in rural Rajasthan.

We had such a great time at this place with my family. Our kids could play outside and we adults had a chance to relax. The whole host family were just lovely. Food was good, we got something for everyone (not an easy task). They helped us with everything we needed and were really flexible.

What a truly magical place. The photographs of Mount Abode are lovely but I don't think any image will do the place justice. It is a really peaceful retreat away from busy Rishikesh with the most beautiful view of the Shivalik Himalayas that will take your breath away. Waking up and opening your curtains to watch the sunrise behind the mountains from bed is so special. This is a really quiet place. No noise. No traffic sounds. No hectic energy. No crowds. There is no wifi and I had no signal personally. For me, this was completely perfect and a welcome break from any distractions. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat in nature in the most beautiful surroundings - look no further. The food is delicious - simple, sattvic and made with love. You will be well-fed 3 times a day and also the chef makes delicious Chai! Yash is very warm, welcoming and accommodating. He is also a fantastic yoga teacher so hopefully you get a morning practice with him. A beautiful dream stay.

There’s no network and the caretaker want on the property when we reached. It took us about half an hour to sort it out. It’s basically a line of rooms fronted by a garden. 10 mins drive to the awas beach. Luckily for us the other rooms were empty and so we had the whole place to ourselves. Swara was an excellent cook! We enjoyed the food very much. All in all we had a great time but don’t know how it would have been if the other rooms were occupied The only negative thing was the room has a double bed which is fine but the pull out is very hard and uncomfortable

It was a lovely peaceful place to spend time with friends. We went as a group of 12 and we enjoyed our time there without any hassle. Special appreciation to the caretaker who was very helpful in guiding us and helping us. The food that was served was also very good. The small dining area outdoor is a great place to hang out. Small inconvenience was the map location pointed us to somewhere random and we had trouble reaching out to the landlord because of no signal, had to depend on locals. The rooms are not interconnected, almost like 4 different properties.

I had a great stay at Rashi and Pranav’s place in Dharamkot. Check-in was easy, the food was tasty, and the room was very comfortable. The service was really good, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect—close to many cafes, McLeodganj, and the main area of Dharamkot. The place has a nice, relaxed vibe. I’d definitely recommend it!

I came for a day, and stayed for over a month. Old Manali is wonderful, and peaceful place to stay. This guest house is in a great location inside the town. It was a bit hard to find, yet it all worked out in the end. Aayush's friend Anshul was managing the place, and helped me a lot to settle in the place. We went together to the hot spring in Vashist, and he showed me good local places to eat. Also the other guests were relaxed, and welcoming. They were all local digital nomads, we shared evening and food in the place. All in all, this place is a mellow gem in Old Manali with a beautiful view to the mountains. I can definitely recommend it for a short or long stay.

Ceddar hill lodge was definitely one of my best homestay experiences ever! I will cherish the 4 days I spent nestled amidst the hills with a view to die for, enjoying the silence and some great food by the chef. Spent my days reading books with hot cups of coffee, evening barbeques, doing yoga on the terrace, walking around, forest bathing, bird watching, sightseeing & waking up to the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. I wish this trip didn't end. Atul and Garima, thank you for your kindness, sensetive concern and prompt responsiveness. We are definitely coming back soon with our friends and family!

The Homestay - Humble. If you're seeking peace and tranquility, you must come here. Sit by the window and all you see is the lush green panorama, all you hear is the endless chirping of birds. And when you see the clouds rolling in through the valley, you may never want to leave. The Host - Like a brother, he took care of us. Prakash bhai was there when our flight was hours late and we arrived post midnight. He did complain a bit, but that's his pahadi sense of humour. Never said no to any requests/demands. He offered us snacks+coffee+rum, and did not charge a single penny more, even though all of it was out of his meal plan. And he suggested us hikes/treks around Gurdum. This is where Chandan bhai comes in. The man not only cooked for us, but was also our guide on a short but thrilling hike to Dumbarkhola falls. Amenities - Basic. Clean room, delicious food. If you're a yak/pork lover, ask for it. 3 meals, 2 tea+snacks per day is offered at ₹600. Come here, rediscover yourself.

The most comfortable and comforting home. It's not just a homestay but it feels right at home. I am unfortunately not feeling well and Vikas and his family has been cooking for me, checking in on me. The genuine kindness and care is very special to receive, when you are on the road travelling and feeling unwell. There's everything you need, everything is clean. The decor with plenty of indoor plants, creates such a soft nourishing environment. The layout of the house have pockets of sitting areas with a nice sense of privacy between each room. The shared kitchen is well equipped and there is a small convenience store selling vegetable, just a stone thrown away from the house. Being surrounded by nature is the pure beauty of this place. There's peace and tranquility from the first step of my arrival. I have already booked my return stay and looking forward to enjoying the space again. Gratitude for Vikas and his family's kindness.

We had a lovely stay at Vipin's place for my husband's birthday, and we will definitely come back again. It's a hidden gem, very quiet and beautiful place. Vipin is an amazing host, he was helpful every step of the way. And he even went a step further to offer us a birthday cake. The walk to the beach is very nice, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. We had the best grilled fish we had so far in India, and overall experience was magical. I would definitely recommend Vipin's place over some beach rentals that are offered in the area as they might be loud and not very clean. Vipin puts so much love into his space, that it becomes truly magical for all his guests.

This was my favourite place that I stayed in Sri Lanka. It is a peaceful jungle haven away from the hustle and bustle from Ahangama while still easy enough to get into town by tuk tuk or scooter. The location is beautiful and I will miss waking up to the sounds of the jungle, sitting looking at the views of the tea farm, and watching the sunset each evening, with fruit bats and fireflies for company. If you're lucky you'll be visited by peacocks and monkeys too. Manjula and his family are wonderful, caring hosts. Manjula is always around for a chat and a joke, sharing wisdom about local plants and cuisine as well as giving tours of the property. Asha cooks a delicious breakfast each morning, with ingredients sourced from their own land. The food is nourishing and healthy and I have loved learning more about local food and customs from them both. The hosts treated me like one of their family. I can't recommend staying at Tea Heaven enough and I am already planning my next visit!

We had a wonderful stay at Neelansh Resort, Sonprayag—an ideal place to begin or conclude the Kedarnath Yatra. The property is strategically located near the trek starting point (car parking area), making it very convenient for pilgrims. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the listed amenities. Our stay was peaceful and serene. The natural beauty of the surroundings is truly captivating—it effortlessly melts away all the fatigue. The food served was delicious, homely, and comforting, adding to the overall experience. Suraj was exceptionally helpful and responsive, assisting us in planning our onward journey. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Aavya is not only a wellness center, but a home away from home. The crew treats you like family; they are welcoming and kind. This sanctuary is set higher up on the crest of Tapovan providing a panoramic view and a peaceful, breezy refuge from the heat of the surrounding village. Aavya serves as an eclectic confluence where people connect and share unique and unifying perspectives from diverse cultural backgrounds. There are a range of learning opportunities and gatherings, from pottery classes, to yoga classes, to cooking classes, to sound healing, kirtan, and ecstatic dance, and the list goes on into infinite possibility. The hosts combine concepts rich in culture, spirituality, the arts, holistic heath, and sustainability. There is a spa where practitioners provide therapeutic techniques to support both physical and emotional health. If you have never experienced Aavya, I would highly recommend it. I decided to extend my stay here in order to revel in the enchanting atmosphere.

Such a beautiful place close to the heart of chitwan. If you like to be close to nature, good food, great service, yoga, fresh beer and good vibes, go there. 🫶🙏

The home stay was great for the price, location it was set in. The staff was super sweet and Ashish was always available and checking in, felt like home. The best part is the quality of the stay, the rooms were so well done up, not something you would expect given how secluded the location is of the place (access can be a good reason to be limited but this place is anything but limited) we had all kinds of provisions for us - food, kettle, towels, toiletries, the mattress was so good! The rooms were so cosy. It’s frankly too good to be to true but well it is. I think the only possible downside to the place is the location- it’s very very very good if you are 1. Looking for solitude because it takes you completely away from the hustle, you are in the middle of nature, no noise, no disturbances just you and nature 2. Are planning the Triund trek and need a transit place to stay. If you are looking to stroll in the market, this place is not for you. The untarred road can kill your back

A beautiful resort, in a peaceful location. The views from the room and the infinity pool are amazing. It was also very fairly priced in terms of the stay and the food. Amazing hospitality from Paul, would recommend 10/10.

It’s a beautiful place in between the nature but not far away from roadside as well. Staff is very helpful and polite. They will be helping you out with everything. Owners who fortunately we were able to meet are very friendly and made us feel at home. Food was amazing, very homely and light. Loved our stay there. Specially since due to a small health issue when we asked to change our room from free house to normal cottage it was arranged very swiftly with a small charge. Very grateful for that!! Special mention to Inji and Ramcharan. Inji is their in-house pet and is very sweet and loveable dog! Ramcharan is their caretaker who helped us all along and even took us on a short property tour which included a small lake. It’s a beautiful property worth the visit!!
