My home is located in a small town on a dirt road and very private. The rt 1 coast/ocean is about 25 minutes away and offers lighthouses, lobster and Maine hospitality. This guest room has a full size bed that is stacked with pillows and an antique quilt, dresser and closet space. The bathroom boasts of a shower as well as a claw foot bathtub should you wish to lay back and relax. There is a television, and an air conditioner in the warmer months as well as a ceiling fan as an alternative.

The Acadia NP Visitor Center, the start of the Park Loop Rd and downtown Bar Harbor are within 2 to 5 miles. Drive into Acadia or to the shops, restaurants & excursions of Bar Harbor or from late June to mid Oct, catch the free Island Explorer shuttle from the end of our road.

No detail is overlooked at this charming and upscale BnB. Relax and enjoy this 1940's Bar Harbor coastal cottage, nicely updated with all the style and loveliness of the era. 5 minutes from Bar Harbor Village & Acadia National Park, Half Moon is central to most of Mount Desert Island and the park. We are the Black Friar Inn and Pub. This is room 2 on our 2nd floor. It has a private bath and the ceiling of the bathroom was once a trolley car’s ceiling. The stained glass windows give the room a rosy Medieval glow. With two comfortable chairs and a fireplace, this room has it all. We are a B&B so breakfast is included with your stay. Please see our website for the menu. Our in town location gives our guests a three minute walk to the harbor and downtown Bar Harbor.
