Family-friendly vacation rentals in Somerset Dam

Annette is The Best host you can ask for. Very responsive, proactive and really good-hearted. She took the extra effort to inform me of potential road closures on my road trip due to flood. Not only that, upon hearing that my flight timing from Singapore was advanced by few hours, without any hesitation she told me to just come early 7am check in, and this happened months before the trip, and even told me that no worries about any potential booking the day before. Talking about the house, it was great. Lots of space and privacy, and the jacuzzi is wonderful to use on a cold early winter night. It’s like onsen experience but a lot more private. The surrounding of the house is beautiful and peaceful. Of course you will need car to get around but then again you need a car everywhere in Australia. And the supermarket is just 3 minutes drive away within the same estate (no need to drive to main roads). Overall if we come back to Brisbane again, we know where to stay. Thank you Annette!

What a magical, relaxing environment! It overlooks a beautiful rainforest ravine with a gentle waterfall. Sitting on the deck with a glass of wine was so serene. We enjoyed our 3 days there and will be definitely booking to go for longer next time! Thank you to Brad and Ciclilia for sharing your special piece of paradise with us! We would have stayed longer if the place was available. We stayed for 1 week and it was well worth what we paid for. The place was homely, clean and spacious. We were able to cook our own meals with the fully equipped kitchen. The location is perfect, you have the train station across the road and you’re behind the town centre so everything is accessible via walk; restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries. But importantly, it’s still quiet and private despite it being so close to everything. Adam was a great host, very friendly and his communication was excellent. We had trouble with the vacuum and he came through and helped us with it. We will absolutely stay again when we visit family in Cleveland. Thanks Adam! Highly recommend.

Very peaceful property and lovely area! Cottage had everything we needed for our stay and was great for the kids. Hosts were very responsive and even dropped off a basket of homemade goodies and delicious scones! We had a great stay.

Great location, easy access and parking. Very homely and also catered for our 22 month old, with portable cot and a variety of toys. Would stay again if down this way and certainly recommend this accomodation

We had a fabulous stay here with our family (5 adults and a toddler). The hosts went out of their way to make us feel right at home. Very nice house with heaps of space, the outdoor area is great. Would happily stay again!

It was a great stay. There were three families in total (including kids), and the rooms were tidy and spacious. The chocolates on the beds were a lovely touch—the kids especially enjoyed them. The swimming pool was a lot of fun. Although we didn’t have much time to relax in the house because we were busy exploring the Gold Coast and visiting the theme parks, it still felt like a home away from home. We’ll definitely return to the Gold Coast someday because we truly enjoyed our holiday and our stay at Debbie-Lyn’s home in Thornlands.

Such an amazing find, best place we’ve stayed in the Sunshine Coast. We happened to book on a rainy weekend but that didn’t affect us at all as the apartment was perfect. Beautiful views, cosy interior and the spa on the roof make this place unique and in such a perfect location. Across the road from the beach for when the weather cooperated. Patisserie and fish shop nearby were excellent as well. Fantastic host, very organised and thorough with his check in and out, and gave us great recommendations. Definitely want to stay here again in future.

Beautiful, peaceful location, central to Hinterland sights, with lovely views from very spacious and comfortable living areas (both inside and out).

We had a lovely family getaway at Nathan’s - everything you need for a relaxing time away & so close to Maleny - views are beautiful & coffee machine was a hit along with the pool table, clean and tidy & perfect spot to relax with our fur babies too ! Stunning winter weather with no full moon, and clear skies allowed for cooking over the fire with unimpeded celestial viewing. Comfortable furnishings, board games, birds, well-stocked kitchen and wood for both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces, our family had a magical winter weekend getaway. Two of us made it to the seat at top of ridge to watch an azure sunset. Thanks Mike we’ll be back.

If you are going to a wedding at Gabbinbar in Toowoomba it is a perfect place to stay. When you walk in you feel instantly at home. Everything is beautifully clean and well appointed. It made our daughter’s wedding that little bit more special. Thank you Angela

Thank you Dawn for yet another awesome holiday experience! Coming from the Netherlands this was our 3rd time, for 6 weeks here and we will keep coming back. Dawn is the perfect host, dog lover and we thoroughly enjoyed her friendly company! Everything was very clean and fresh. The location is perfect, with a lot of beautiful birds around. Grocery shopping is a 5 minute drive away to Woolworths and ALDI. Again thank you so much Dawn, cheers Lyn and Bert.

We loved Micah’s house, the backyard is amazing and the dogs are safe and enjoyed it a lot. The only downside to the house was the shower head which splashes water all over the bathroom and the fact there was no table inside as there was a lot of mosquitoes at night. But overall amazing value for money and relaxing stay! Thank you !!

Sharyn's house was beautiful, provided a nice home base for me and family for the weekend. Communication was top-notch, we had a slight issue with the hot water system and either Sharyn or Jodie responsed almost immediately. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

We so enjoyed the peace and quiet that permeated the space, along with the magnesium pool. We were very appreciative of the many extras provided that we have not come across in other AirBnB’s. This studio was a gorgeous place for a stay for 2. The place felt professionally set up and Heidi left many personal touches that made the place feel homey. Everything you could need was there. Would definitely stay again.

A beautiful apartment to stay in. Very clean, everything you needed and more. Perfect location and close to everything. You could walk everywhere. Great communication from Sandra as well. Very accomodating and lovely. Finding the key was easy with the instructions provided. Parking was a bit tricky but I paid to park at Opera Apartments for convenience at $30 per night - I had to get there early to purchase parking from the front desk as they closed at 12 on the weekend. They had to let me in as I didn’t have the apartment key yet but I could get to ground floor and explore the city, without a key, until check in. Highly recommend. I will stay there again when I return to the city.

I had deeply relaxing and recharging stay at Lil and Stephen’s place. The bed and bed linen were first class. The quiet surroundings, comfortable furniture, magnificent garden and the cooking facilities were appreciated. I’d love to return. Highly recommended.

31 st Catherines terrace studio A is a great place to stay if your looking for something in a quiet neighbourhood and out of the way of the busy city. The studio is also walking distance to the Wynnum Central station, local cafes and grocery store. We felt quite at home while staying here, Patrick was at the studio on arrival which made check in and finding everything a seamless experience. The interior of the studio was well laid out and definitely a winner, quality appliances and bedding have not been skimped upon. We really enjoyed staying at this studio and we will be on the lookout for availability when travelling to Wynnum again.
