Although we only stayed the night, the house was exactly what we needed. it was described perfectly and had all amenities listed for a comfortable stay. Leslie was also very considerate to recommend us to a local food place. We would definitely stay here again when givin the chance.

Mike's place was amazing. It served as the home base for a work trip. All of my colleagues enjoyed spending time there and it did an excellent job of meeting our needs.

Little House on the Bosque

JoannaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We would definitely stay here again. The home was lovely and comfortable. Many nice, beautiful touches. The kitchen has everything we needed and the kitchen appliances all worked great. The hosts were thoughtful to leave coffee and breakfast treats. The property is peaceful with beautiful cactus and other plants. We enjoyed just sitting at the dining room table watching birds. There is a closed in porch that is quite comfortable and a nice place to sit and chat as well. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. The property is nice for those who like to get away from towns, but close enough to town to easily grab a burger at the Owl. Bosque del Apache is only about 15 -20 minutes away.

Loved staying in this cabin-vibes house. It was exactly what we expected and the snacks being stocked up was above and beyond! It was like stepping back in time.

Off the Beaten Path, Comfy Cabin!

VictorRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Oasis in the desert. Carol's place is a nice homy place in the middle of the desert. The mobile house has everything you might need to cook, plenty of room, and a comfy bed. The Roku TV offers a vast selection of channels. Coffee pods are available, and you can wash your clothes if needed. Another bonus is the shaded carport. Wi-Fi is not excellent due to the limited wireless service in rural areas. I used my iPhone as a hotspot and stayed online. The view from the house to other backyard ranches and the gravel parking area is not the best, but there is still plenty of space to walk around the property if you feel like it. No doubt, I will stay at Carol's house again.

KaHoon Campground and Event Center Site: Winterfat

KatieRating, 5 stars18 months ago
Super cool experience! Remember this is off grid living. Expect a lot of dirt road getting in. directions from Melody were fantastic, G Maps, has no idea what is and isn't roads out there, so just follow her directions. We checked in early to see and find the site during daylight first. Would recommend. It's a great place to camp, star gaze, or as we did, catch the eclipse! Again, very friendly, great place, and with a communal fire pit. We loved it.

Stargazing delight! Super remote and private. Directions were accurate and detailed, but you are going on an adventure to find the location. Our host was super friendly and extra details to make our night enjoyable.

Secluded dog-friendly casita near wildlife refuge

AmyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A beautiful little casita. All amenities as described. Margaret is a wonderful host with recommendations for local spots to tour, books about the area, and restaurants (hint: try the Buckhorn in San Antonio!). Quiet country location with easy access to both Bosque del Apache and Socorro.

Cozy cabin with Highlands

KarenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Sarah's place is perfect for a quiet getaway in Central New Mexico. I enjoyed the huge open skies and the Highland cattle were an aesthetic touch! Sarah communicated clearly and everything was very straightforward. As an added bonus, the walled patio was great for playing fetch with my dog in the evening, since he couldn't run off leash elsewhere on the property. If I'm ever in Mountainair again, I would not hesitate to stay at her place again.

We had a wonderful stay. The tiny house is lovely and has everything you need. We stayed nice and warm during an unexpected snowfall. We went on a great walk that was recommended and we saw turkeys and a jackrabbit. Thank you so much for hosting us!
